Fine Arts Senior Banners


The Dell Rapids Fine Arts Boosters would like to offer the opportunity for students in band, choir, drama, journalism, and visual arts to have a banner to hang in the MS Commons during their senior year. We will also offer banners for quiz bowl seniors to hang in the HS.


Fine Arts Banner Requirements:


Band: Must have participated the last three years, at least one semester per year, and plan to participate as a senior.

Wear black dress shirt, orange tie, and black pants, and hold your instrument.

OR

Wear black band dress and hold your instrument.

OR

Wear music polo and black pants and hold your instrument.


Choir: Must have participated the last three years, at least one semester per year, and plan to participate as a senior.

Wear black Quarrier wear or music polo, and black pants or dark jeans.


Drama: Must have substantially contributed one previous year, in either a play or oral interp, and plan to participate as a senior.

Wear oral interp competition clothing: black/grey suit jacket or a shirt and tie.

Journalism: Must have one previous year of consistent project completion in yearbook and newspaper, and plan to participate as a senior.

Wear black Quarrier wear, black pants or dark jeans, and hold a camera.


Quiz Bowl: Must have substantially contributed two previous years, including attendance at meetings and meets, and plan to participate as a senior.

Wear quiz bowl shirt and black pants or dark jeans.


Visual Arts: Must have participated the last three years, at least one semester per year, and plan to participate as a senior.

Wear black Quarrier wear and black pants or dark jeans. 


One banner only per student. Choices of qualified fine arts activities are highlighted below. If the student is in more than one fine arts activity or is in sports AND fine arts, they will have to choose one. If a fine arts student chooses to hang a sports banner, they do not get a free fine arts banner too. The only free banner is the banner that hangs in the commons. Students may purchase other banners through the Athletic Booster Club. Please see their information for prices and dates. The banners will hang all year; no trading out banners. Banners will be given to the seniors at the Fine Arts Awards Night in May, if possible. In the event that the student does not participate in any fine arts activities during their senior year, their banner will be removed at the discretion of the Activities Director.
